PRINCIPAL - Full-Time Permanent
POSITION OVERVIEW
Holy Child Academy, an independent Catholic school serving students from Toddler through Eighth grade, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Principal to lead our school community. The Principal will be responsible for fostering academic excellence, upholding Catholic values, and ensuring the overall spiritual, academic, and social well-being of students. This individual will collaborate with faculty, staff, and parents to create a nurturing, challenging, and supportive faith filled environment where students can thrive.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership and Administration:
- Lead the school community in the mission of Holy Child Academy, ensuring that all decisions and actions reflect the values and goals of the Sisters of the Holy Child Jesus.
- Oversee all aspects of school management, including curriculum development, instructional practices, student behavior, and staff performance.
- Foster a positive school culture rooted in Catholic principles, including respect for all individuals.
- Manage and supervise faculty and staff, ensuring high standards of performance and professional development.
- Work closely with the Head of School and the school leadership team to set long-term goals and implement strategic initiatives.
Academic Excellence:
- Oversee the development, implementation, and assessment of the academic curriculum to ensure it meets both state standards and the educational goals of Holy Child Academy.
- Ensure that the school is providing a rigorous, balanced, and age-appropriate education that addresses the intellectual, spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of students.
- Foster an environment of continuous improvement through data-driven decision-making, teacher collaboration, and curriculum innovation.
Spiritual Leadership:
- Lead by example in living out and promoting Catholic teachings and values, ensuring that faith formation is integrated into the school’s daily life and activities.
- Collaborate with the campus minister to support students’ spiritual development and involvement in liturgical life, service projects, and sacramental preparation.
- Support and encourage the growth of students’ personal faith journeys while also embracing the diverse backgrounds and faith traditions within the school community.
Student and Family Engagement:
- Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and the broader community, providing regular communication and opportunities for engagement.
- Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment where all students are encouraged to reach their full potential.
- Develop and implement strategies to address student needs, including academic support, behavior management, and social-emotional learning.
Budget and Resource Management:
- Work with the Head of School to ensure financial sustainability and appropriate resource allocation.
- Ensure that the school’s financial, physical, and employee resources are used efficiently to support the mission and goals of the school.
- Support fundraising efforts, grants, and donor relations to maintain and enhance the school’s financial health.
Qualifications:
- A practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church, committed to the mission of Catholic education.
- Master's degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, or a related field (required).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a leadership role in an educational setting, preferably in Catholic/Independent schools.
- Proven experience in curriculum design, staff management, and school operations.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to engage a diverse school community.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, parents, staff, and the Head of School.
- Passion for fostering academic excellence, spiritual growth, and the overall well-being of students.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in an independent Catholic school environment.
- Active involvement in Catholic parish life and knowledge of liturgical practices and teachings.

MATERNITY LEAVE REPLACEMENT
Holy Child Academy, an independent Catholic school rooted in the traditions of the Society of the Holy Child Jesus, seeks a passionate and experienced Fifth Grade Math and Science Teacher for a maternity leave position. We are dedicated to fostering academic excellence, character development, and a deep sense of faith in our students. Our ideal candidate will embrace our mission of nurturing joyful learners who seek wisdom, act with integrity, and lead with compassion.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver an engaging and rigorous Fifth Grade math and science curriculum that aligns with Holy Child Academy’s academic standards and values.
- Foster a classroom environment that promotes critical thinking, problem-solving, and a love for learning.
- Integrate Catholic values and teachings into daily instruction and classroom culture. - Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Assess and track student progress, providing meaningful feedback and support.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and parents to support students’ academic and personal growth.
- Participate in school-wide activities, professional development, and faith-based initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Teaching certification or licensure. - Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in a Catholic or independent middle school setting.
