Message from the Head of School
Even now, sixteen years after taking the helm at Holy Child Academy (HCA), I shake my head in wonder and appreciation as I ask myself, “How can ‘work’ be so enjoyable?”
The answer is to be found by exploring the nature of HCA. It is a harmonious place where children thrive as the faculty and staff work together to create an educational environment as close to the ideal as God gives us the strength and power to achieve. All of us share the belief that it is important to focus on the education of the “whole child." I like to say that every child gets straight “A’s,” as we put a very strong emphasis on the Arts, Athletics, and, of course, Academics. Oh, and one more “A”: Alleluia! Praising God and learning to serve Him are bound up in the life of the school. Strolling the hallways, a visitor would see that music, drama, creative arts, and physical education are balanced with a rich and challenging academic program in a school with deep spiritual underpinnings. In short, it is a dynamic place for children to learn and grow and educators to “work.”
Our graduates are able to play a musical instrument, sing joyfully, paint and draw artistically, think clearly, act nobly, pray earnestly, play cooperatively, perform skillfully, and give abundantly while performing at the highest academic levels. Should these be your wishes for your child, we would sincerely welcome the opportunity to tell you more about HCA.
