Technology
The Holy Child Academy campus is completely networked, with both hardwired and wireless platforms, and there are two computer centers for group use and instruction. In addition, there are many SMART Board centers spread over the campus and in classrooms.
A study of HCA's technology curriculum reveals the thoughtful approach taken to ensure that all students become proficient in the appropriate use of technology. Presentations and applications in the early grades center on basic software learning tools, and illustrating science lessons, geography, history, and concepts in math is now done with the touch of a finger. In the middle grades some of the requirements include mastery of the keyboard, completion of refined research tasks, creation of spreadsheets, and development of multimedia projects.
As is true in all subject areas, we are constantly striving to help students develop essential skills and a foundation of knowledge that enable them to find a secure footing in a fast-paced, changing world.
